Best of 2024 - Thank you!

To everyone who was a part of 2024, thank you. I am so blessed to have been able to document such meaning moments all year long for clients who I can genuinely call friends.

It was a year full of weddings, family sessions, engagements, proposals, events, and more. If I could have know 12 years ago when I did my first wedding that I would get to do this full time, doing something I love and creating such meaningful work that people can enjoy for a lifetime, I would have been blown away. Yet here we are, 325+ weddings in! You, my couples, my clients, my vendor partners, everyone who has passed along my name, shared their images, left a review, told a friend; you all are the reason this has been a great year. Thank you!

I’m especially grateful for two previous wedding couples brought me back this year to photograph the blessing of new life in their family. Another brought me back to document their children and grandchildren, together for a short time from across the country. Thank you for trusting me not just with your wedding, but with your growing legacy.

I’m grateful for those who invited me to document their elopement, whether an elopement in DC or the Shenandoah. These are intimate, intentional and very special to me because I’m being invited in to document a day that they want to devote wholly to each other. I love the images I am able to capture; filled with closeness, personal story and deep meaning. Elopements are relaxed, slow-paced days filled with things like hiking, exploring the town, bowling, getting your favorite coffee or ice cream; things that are memorable and meaningful to each couple.

I’m grateful to my corporate clients, who let me flex another muscle with headshots, branding, conference photography, and a variety of other work that stretched my creative experience.

And I’m grateful to all my wedding clients who gave me access. Access to be close, telling stories and giving you the memories of real things you experienced. It’s the underlying thread that I continue to see each year, the thread of an adventurous spirit. My couples value the journey, being present, and deep connections with friends and family. They don’t want to miss out on the real things that are happening in front of them. To them, it’s not about photography; that’s not why I’m there. It’s about memories and being able to hold close the people who are dear to you, long after the wedding cake is eaten, the flowers have been preserved, and everyone has returned home. Years and decades from now when times have changed, people have passed on, and you’re sitting on your couch with your spouse of many years, memories will blaze alive through the stories told through your photographs. Photographs I was blessed to to take, forever showing you how deeply you love and are loved.
