What better time of year to have a wedding than during the Christmas season! John and Lisa's wedding at the Inn at Meander Plantation was held just days before Christmas.
The Meander Plantation Inn was a beautiful venue fully covered in Christmas decorations. John and Lisa's photo story began with images of John writing a love letter to Lisa inside the room where they would be married later that day. I then moved to capturing Lisa getting ready, making sure to also catch shots of her adorable Bulldog named Georgia! After a cute first look we moved around the plantation grounds, capturing portraits and having a fun time, all in 60 degree weather?! Yes, it was late December and one of the warmest days in weeks!
One of my favorite differences about this wedding was Lisa's bright red wedding dress. It was the perfect fit for a Christmas wedding!
What touched me most about their wedding was the ceremony, filled with tears of joy as well as tears of sadness. Sadness because of lost family, joy at the bringing together of two people! This is life, and it's a wonderful privilege to capture it.
