Engagement Session at Burke Lake | Fredy and Tatiana

Fredy and Tatiana’s wedding is nearly here, so I wanted to take some time to share their unique session at Burke Lake this summer. Our goal that day was not just to get some great engagement photos but to also capture family photos with their daughter. She will be a big part of their new family and she will be a big part of their wedding day, so they wanted to include her in their session. I thought that was a great idea and I could not have been happier to have her along!

One of the things I love about photography and wedding photography in particular is that we are capturing legacy moments, allowing us to connect back to our most fond memories even generations from now. Having Fredy and Tatiana’s daughter made this session not only fun (she’s a great kid to be around) but also a more rich experience. These images will be that much more special in the years ahead.

We walked the trails around Burke Lake, enjoying the view of the water and the random passing by of ducks, birds, turtles, and more. You’ve already seen my favorite shot, the leading image above, a panorama of the lake right at sunset with a family of geese gently crossing the lake. It was a beautiful serene moment.
