How to Prepare for Your Engagement Session

The time has come for your engagement session! I want to give you a few final thoughts to help you prepare and make the session the best it can be. Let's get into it.

Get ready to have fun!

Seriously, my clients always come out of their engagement telling me how much fun they had, how it felt like a date together. We've chosen an engagement session location that you both vibe with and now it's time to be yourselves! Enjoy the time together, be silly, goofy, serious - however you relate!

Coordinate your clothing and be comfortable.

Coordinate with your fiance to wear clothing that compliments each other instead of matching. Bringing options for both of you can help in case you feel like switching partway through the session

Be comfortable, don't wear anything brand new that you aren't sure you'll be relaxed in. Wear shoes that you can walk in and depending on where we're going, will allow you to go off the beaten path!

What should I bring?

I certainly not against props, it's great to bring small items that mean something to one or both of you. Maybe it is a gift from a significant family member, or maybe it relates to your favorite hobby or pastime together.

But besides that, I encourage you to keep yourself hands-free. I love to move quickly and place you in fun situations. You won't want to be stuck carrying purses, blankets, or anything that get's between the two of you interacting together.

Relax and unwind.

We've taken the time to find the best location, we've chosen the best time of day, we've gone over what types of images you love, and now it's time to let all the planning go and enjoy yourselves!

This is the time to trust me and the photo process. I'll guide you through how to look your best and I'll keep it very open for you and your fiance to be candid and natural.
