Leesburg Wedding at Historic Birkby House | Mike and Jenna
Birkby House in Leesburg, Virginia, was a beautiful setting for Mike and Jenna's spring wedding. Both enjoyed the getting ready surrounded by their fun bridal party in the historic manor (built in 1770). I loved capturing the interaction and Jenna's excitement during that time and later on with the bridal party around the gardens.
For their ceremony, we drove just a few blocks to The Immaculate Conception Chapel, another quaint, historic building. After time for portraits, we made it back for the reception at the Birkby House courtyard.
During their cocktail hour, Mike and Jenna had fun digging up a bottle of bourbon they had buried a month before. The tradition is supposed to bring good weather on the wedding and we did have one of the most beautiful spring days!
By far my favorite part of the day was the reception. The energy level at Mike and Jenna's wedding was through the roof! As you'll see below the dance floor was packed all night and even included a time with glow sticks!
