Georgetown Engagement Session | Sam and Ale

Every year we slowly emerge from winter and yet spring seems to arrive all at once. One week we have trees completely bare of leaves, and the next week it's nothing but green everywhere you look! I am always dazzled when spring arrives in full with warm breezes, lush greens, and an excitement in the air.

That was what I was feeling when I arrived in Georgetown for Sam and Ale's engagement session. I met them at the Georgetown waterfront park where they were engaged and we proceeded to explore the area for things that caught our attention. We explored the canal, side streets, little nooks and popular bridges, coming back around to the waterfront to experience what would be one of the best sunsets I've seen in a long time!

Earlier that day rain had come through the Washington DC area, leaving us with interesting clouds and an expectation that we could have an epic sunset. We certainly weren't disappointed! When the sun dipped below a break in the clouds to flood the area in rich golden light, we jumped at the opportunity for incredible photos.

Sam and Ale are a wonderful, easygoing, fun couple. We had a blast sharing drinks and pizza after their session! I'm excited to know them and to capture their wedding story later this fall!
