Wedding at Tranquility Farm | Purcellville VA | Rob and Brannie
“We were childhood best friends who were teased that one day we were going to get married, and now it’s finally happening!” Those were Brannie’s excited words to me in her pre-wedding questionnaire. I always love getting a couple’s back story, it brings an important context to capture in their images.
Going into this wedding, I was excited to capture their story, including everything from their adorable family dog Ollie, their country theme complete with bridesmaids cowboy boots and groomsmen trucks, and their love for family. Brannie’s reaction to seeing her dad before the ceremony and Rob’s tearful first dance with his Mom, along with many other moments throughout their day, pointed to a strong love for each other and a strong bond between families. Both of their fathers give a speech at the start of the reception, graciously welcoming their families and the new family Rob and Brannie were establishing that day.
Rob and Brannie chose Tranquility Farm for their wedding due to its incredible beautiful and extensive history. Beginning as a Quaker farm, it still houses the original house, silo, and barn, giving it a classic country yet modern feel. Having everything in the same location was a huge bonus as well, with getting ready, ceremony, and reception all being done neatly at the same venue.
It was a blessing to share this day with Rob and Brannie, and I hope you enjoy their photo story below! Thank you the wonderful vendors who made this day successful, see their information below!
