Wedding at Mother Seaton and Linganore Winery | Charlie and Holly

Leading up to their wedding I asked Charlie and Holly what they were most exited about with their marriage to come? Their answer? “Good health insurance…and creating a family together.”

While I’m sure they’re excited for good health insurance, it was clear throughout the day that Charlie and Holly have a large number of family and friends who play a special role in their lives. A wide range of people were in attendance, from newborn to grandparents! It was clear that it wasn’t a day purely about them, it was about something much more.

The day started out wet and rainy at a very special place for the family, Holly’s grandmother’s church, Mother Seton Parish in Germantown, Maryland. Holly enjoyed getting ready with the help of her mother, sister, and one of her best friends, followed by an emotional first look with her Dad. All the while Charlie was welcoming guests upstairs and preparing to marry the love of his life!

During their Catholic ceremony I loved seeing the emotions and reactions of family and friends as they reveled in the joy of the day. But one of my favorite moments came just after Charlie and Holly put on their rings. As soon as they sat down they began smiling at each other and adorably inspecting each other’s rings. It was exactly the kind of special moment that I look for and love being able to capture.

From there we took the beautiful drive to their reception at Linganore Winery! Though it was cold and windy the rain had moved off and bright sunlight mixed with moody clouds, giving us an epic backdrop to capture. Linganore is a rustic barn venue situated right in an area that gave us a full 360 view of the sunset and surrounding area. Charlie and Holly braved the high winds and came back with some of my favorite images of the year!

Later that night we heard moving speeches from Charlie’s brother Joe and Holly’s sister JoAnna, and then experienced the high energy, high skill talents of the Bachelor Boys Band as they lit up the dance floor! Everyone packed it out, even grandma took a few minutes to dance!

Enjoy the photo story below and a big thanks to all the vendors who made this day possible!
