Eric and Janice’s Engagement – An Evening In Washington

Engagement

I will be photographing Eric and Janice’s wedding at the beginning of November, but first we wanted to break the ice and capture some beautiful engagement photos around DC. We started in Georgetown and moved into the heart of Washington, to right in front of the Capitol!

Dusk was just beginning to settle in as we came to the front of the Capitol. The sky was turning a deep blue which created a lovely contrast to the lights coming from the Capitol building. My favorite image is the second-to-last, the dark portrait with Eric and Janice framed inside the Capitol.

Which is your favorite image? Like, comment, and share if you enjoy the photos!

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
