What a joy it is when new life is born! For Tim and Dorothy, being able to finally adopt little Amelia is an answer to years of prayer.

Amelia was born on January 18, so at this shoot she was just over five weeks old! It is incredible how small children are, I never get over that.

For this family shoot the goal was to capture authentic “lifestyle” images of the Carroll family together. I appreciate photographers who are able to capture colorful, perfectly posed images of babies wrapped up snugly, but these images below are what I personally love to capture; a family living as a family.

We photographed portraits of Amelia on the bed, around the house, in the arms of her loving parents, all with a focus on showing life as they experience it.
