Sure, big cities are fun, but over the years I have come to really appreciate the feel of a small town community. Having grown up around Old Town Manassas, I have spent a lot of time there walking around and enjoying the culture. Although it is a quaint and small town, this is a bustling place with great shops, an awesome bookstore, and numerous events throughout the year.

One of those events recently was the 17th annual Art Gallery Walk, where shops all over the town opened their doors to artwork and artists for the public to enjoy. I had the pleasure of photographing this event for Prince William Living, a great community magazine in the county.

For me, I greatly enjoyed leaving my big Nikon cameras at home, opting instead for my small Sony A7 full frame mirrorless camera. With a 50mm, a 35mm, and a 14mm, I was able to capture anything I needed that night, and it was fun to change things up by using a different tool.

Below are a few images from the event, but click here to see more images and the article on the Prince William Living website. Enjoy the images, and be sure to like, share, comment, and attend the event next year!

Meet Rob Jinks

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
