Walden Hall Wedding | Brendan and Ashley

Driving out to Walden Hall for Brendan and Ashley’s wedding was the first of many refreshing moments that day. Walden Hall feels like a sanctuary at the foot of the Shenandoah mountains and is more than an hour from any big city. It sits on a hill overlooking a lake and lush green hills that roll together to form the perfect serene spot for a wedding. Even though I was “working,” it felt like hanging out with friends and being able to detox from daily stresses.

For Brendan and Ashley. their relationships all started watching the World Cup together with friends. They hit things off and later started dating at Harper Ferry, West Virginia. Four years later, after traveling the world and growing in their careers, they would get engaged back at the same place!

Choosing Walden Hall was one of their easy wedding decisions. Brendan and Ashley loved the natural scenery, the venue game room, pool, and the fact that they could share it with their bridal party for the whole weekend. Above all, the people in their lives are most important, which meant we had to capture one photo with everyone together!

The day wasn’t without it’s challenges, as we did encounter some rain that forced the vendor team to be quick and nimble setting everything up. But all in all we were still able to enjoy a beautiful outdoor ceremony and soft warm light for our photos that evening.
