Wedding at Old Hickory Golf Club | Justin and Mindy

Justin and Mindy’s wedding was one of my first after a few weeks off with family vacations. It was great to be back capturing their story! Their wedding was held at Old Hickory Golf Club, a beautiful course in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Every couple’s story is unique and beautiful, and it’s one of my favorite things about wedding photography. Mindy and Justin first connected at her own birthday party when a co-worker invited Justin. It was a slow connection at first, but their Vietnamese heritage gave them a strong bond together. In her words, Mindy shared that “after spending many days together, we gradually fell in love by realizing how much we complement each other, have each others backs, and effortlessly make the other smile.”

We started today at a home just minutes away from Old Hickory, capturing Mindy and her ladies preparing for the day. My favorite moment was a simple black and white image of Mindy and her mom connecting right after Mindy had finished putting on her dress.

From there we moved to an emotional first look at the venue and the ceremony overlooking lush green scenery. Their reception began with delicious foods and some of the most touching speeches I’ve ever heard! But the most memorable part of the day had to be the dancing where everyone cut loose!
