Matt and Michelle's Wedding Day

Welcome to Matt and Michelle's wedding photo story, the story of marriage, love, dogs with ties, breakfast for lunch, mountains, and rain!

One of the things I love about wedding photography is that you never know what you will get, every story, every wedding day, is completely unique. Matt and Michelle's wedding day in the Shenandoah National Park started off overcast, with clouds moving low and slow over the mountains. Their wedding was at 12 noon and leading up to it was a blast with shots of the guys, girls, and Stanley the dog getting ready.

The ceremony went off without a hitch but not two minutes after the first kiss rain began to move in, forcing us quickly indoors for family photos. All was well and the reception continued with touching speeches and breakfast foods for lunch! I was certainly happy about this, bacon and omelets are always a good time. The rain continued for most of the afternoon, leaving us with whiteouts at the overlooks.

One thing I wish about what I do is that I could get to know my awesome clients better. Matt and Michelle are two great people; it was fun for me to see them getting the chance to be with so many special people on their day.

Enjoy their story below, especially my favorite shot; the flower girl dumping all of her flowers in a heap. Not the moment you expect but certainly a memorable one!
