Wilson North Carolina Wedding: Kaleb and Emily
Kaleb and Emily are one of those rare couples who I had the pleasure of getting to know well before they got engaged! We were all students at Geneva College and even sang together in the college choir. What a joy to capture the wedding of friends!
When I left for their wedding on Dec 30, heading 3 hours south to Wilson, North Carolina, I was leaving behind an inch of snow and 20 degree temperatures. When I arrived in Wilson I was greeted by sunny skies and mid 40's! This was beautiful winter wedding day! The wedding itself was held at First Free Will Baptist in Wilson, NC, Emily's home church. Even though it wasn't the theme of the wedding, it was fun to see Christmas decorations all around the venue and incorporate them throughout the day. It was an absolute blast to capture this bridal party; Kaleb and Emily had some of the best people surrounding them that day!
After the ceremony we drove just 2 minutes to Wilson Country Club for their reception. It wasn't difficult at all to get these two to have fun, as we walked around the grounds of the country club capturing portraits. It's evident the instant you meet them that they are two of the most joyful people you could know, literally to the point that doing any "serious" faces in photos was impossible :)
During the reception speeches many spoke about the incredible role each have played in so many peoples lives. I can only wonder at how many lives they will change for the better as a couple. Enjoy their photo story!
