Manassas Battlefield Engagement | Chris and Emily

Engagement

The world came alive with gold and oranges for Chris and Emily’s engagement at the Manassas National Battlefield Park! Low angle morning light was brilliant on the grass and few remaining leaves this fall.

Chris and Emily live in the city but enjoy the outdoors. They wanted to stay local so the park was a good choice for a morning engagement session with a large elevated area full of sunlight.

I grew up not to far away from the Manassas Battlefield and am very familiar with the park. The image above came out of an idea I had while on a visit to the Henry House at the visitor center a few years ago. I’ve always wanted to capture this image looking through the two windows and this was the perfect session for it!

Meet Rob Jinks

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
