Reflecting On 2023 – Best of Wedding Photography

When I reflect back each year, I can’t help but be blown away, and 2023 was no different!

The images below are my favorites from 2023, a tiny fraction of the 40+ weddings, events, family sessions, and more that I documented this year. Each one, in timeline order from January to December, give me a feeling of gratefulness. I’m so thankful for the fun people I get to meet, the couples and families who have trusted me with their most precious memories. I’m grateful that I was allowed to come into their lives, to document them in vulnerable spaces, giving me a part of themselves so I can in turn encapsulate it for all time.

It’s a joy to be able to do this for a living. I don’t believe the saying “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” No, this job is work, and sometimes it’s hard work, but it’s extremely fulfilling. It’s a job I love doing. It’s work that is meaningful and powerful, both now and even more as time goes on. Images only get more valuable as time passes.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of 2023, and thank you to the couples already booked in 2024, let’s keep it going!

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
