Turf Valley Resort Wedding | Steven and Brandi

It was nearly one year ago that I had the chance to photograph Brandi and Steven for the engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial, the same place where they got engaged! They were such a fun couple at their engagement and I knew their wedding was going to be an absolute blast. The hard part was waiting a year for it to arrive!

Brandi and Steven's journey began with weekly games of kickball in DC and blossomed into something truly beautiful over the last few years. The two of them are both extremely kind, caring, loving; the type of people with whom you can easily become fast friends.

They choose Turf Valley Resort in Maryland for it's convenience to family and friends, plenty of hotel rooms, the perfect reception space, and an absolutely beautiful outdoor garden ceremony site. The weather on their wedding day started out ominous, with mixed clouds and the threat of rain. But as the day wore on that threat weakened, only to reappear at the worst possible moment; just after they had both walked down the aisle.

Not long into the ceremony, it began to rain steadily. While I got pretty wet, most of the guests and all of the bridal party had umbrellas. We moved through the ceremony quickly and got inside, and in the end, it was still a beautiful ceremony. It was certainly one of the more memorable ones!

The day continued with beautiful portraits outside, a crazy dance party at the reception, touching speeches, and an incredible couple starting their life together. Check out their photo story below!
