Army Memorial Service: Arlington National Cemetery

filed under:

Personal

It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one.

Farewells were given to Mr. Whiteley, who was a friend, father, husband, and an Army service member. Arlington National Cemetery is a fitting place to honor our military, one that never ceases to amaze me.

The sheer size and number of graves is moving, especially when you think of how many more service members are not buried there. Countless numbers of people from across the country and around the world have died to protect our freedom, and it was an honor for me to be a part of this memorial service to thank and lay to rest Mr. Whiteley.
