Morning Engagement Session in Washington DC | Evan and Megan

Washington DC engagement session at the Tidal Basin.

I was so excited for this engagement session, my first in 2018! We’re finally past the point where it would be miserably cold, and with spring just around the corner, it was the perfect time to take Evan and Megan out for their session.

Evan and Megan are long-time DC area residents, so it was an easy choice for them to use the Tidal Basin and the FDR Memorial as their backdrop. It’s an ideal mix of DC cityscape, nature, and architecture. The only things we had to worry about were the startled squirrels jumping up out of the trashcans!

Afterward we warmed up with coffee at Bayou Bakery in Arlington. It was a great way to start the week! Enjoy the highlights below!

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
