Richmond Engagement Session | Daniel and Jessica

Engagement

It has been a while since I was last in Richmond, so I was excited when Jessica and Daniel wanted to have their engagement session there. They live right in the city and frequently visit the park we used as a backdrop.

What I enjoyed most about this shoot was the unique elevated train line. Underneath the line was a beautiful field of grass catching the golden evening light. It is an interesting juxtaposition of man-made and natural elements, with Jessica and Daniel at the middle focal point.

We moved around the tracks as well as through nearby parks capturing fun and intimate moments of this couple who has a clear love for each other. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding! Enjoy these highlights from their session.

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
