Jefferson Memorial Wedding Portraits | Steven and Vanna

Wedding photos on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC.

I always love to photograph a family where two cultures are coming together. In the case of Steven and Vanna, two people in love with each other and in love with DC, we took to the Jefferson Memorial to commemorate their families joining as one.

Vanna’s heritage is Cambodian so she wore her beautiful gold and white wedding gown from Cambodia. Steven wore a classic bright suit with a vest and together they were perfect set against the marble of the Jefferson and the lush greens around the Tidal Basin.

We were capturing images just a day after their small courthouse wedding in DC. It was rainy and overcast, but there was still beauty all around. I wish Steven and Vanna the best in their life together!

I don’t take it lightly when you invite me into your story.

After 10+ years and hundreds of weddings, this remains true: it all starts with trust, connection, and a shared belief that this really matters.

Whether we’re hiking through Shenandoah, gathering with your people downtown, or in the backyard of a beloved home, I’m there to notice what’s sacred and make it last. I aim to capture the kind of photographs that don’t just look beautiful, but genuinely reflect you and the life you’re creating.
