District Winery Wedding | David and Jennifer

I was excited as I walked into District Winery for David and Jennifer’s wedding. The large glass windows, dark interior, and bright accents instantly appealed to me. I saw photo opportunities everywhere! It was exactly what David and Jennifer wanted, something different, bold, and dynamic.

These two congressional staffers had their ceremony on the District Winery terrace overlooking the Navy Yards park and a beautiful view of the Potomac River. Congressman Emanuel Cleaver officiated their wedding with humorous stories and heartwarming encouragement as this couple entered into the rest of their lives together.

One of my favorite aspects of their day was capturing the expressions and reactions during the tear-jerking speeches and parent dances. But what really took the cake were the fireworks on the water, courtesy of the Washington Nationals! The Nationals won their Friday night game at home, bringing with it fireworks launched right in front of District Winery! It was the perfect way to end the night.
