Greg and Alyson are a classic love story. They met in high school while running cross country, and while Greg annoyed Alyson at first, they eventually saw something deeper in each other. At the beginning of college, they began a long-distance relationship before their eventual engagement at Virginia Beach in 2017!

For their engagement session they wanted to explore outdoor scenery. I love the Manassas National Battlefield Park for this, we hiked the trails and found great light in the forests and in the fields. Their engagement session came right on the heels of a big storm coming through the area, which set the stage for a stunning sunset and surreal color in the sky. After the sun went down the sky turned orange, casting an eerie glow over us and the landscape. It was a photo opportunity like I’ve never seen before! Be sure to check out those shots at the bottom of the post.

Throughout their session, Greg and Alyson were extremely easy to work with. I encouraged them to be themselves, to have fun, and feel like they were on a date. They got into that mindset quickly and from there the rest was easy! Enjoy the highlights from their session below!
