Let me introduce you to Grant and April and their incredible weekend. Grant and April met during their first year as students at Virginia Tech, but it wasn't until their senior year that they started dating. Grant went on to carry April's engagement ring for a year before asking her to marry him along the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria. 

When I asked them why they chose Evergreen Country Club for their wedding, they said that it reminded them so much of Virginia Tech, with the view of the mountain from the ceremony space. Evergreen is a lush venue full of greenery. It's got everything from a large reception area, a stone garden ceremony site, to a historic manor, all of which sits at the foot of the Bull Run Mountains.

With family coming from the Philippines as well as locally, it was an exciting time for Grant and April to celebrate with the important people in their lives, some of whom they do not get to see often. I loved capturing the fun between the bridal party, their families, the emotion-filled ceremony, and the beautiful setting of Evergreen. It's a joy to have the opportunity to capture history, the legacy that brought Grant and April to their wedding day and the beginning of their story to come.
